Captain Lee Ann H. Kenley, commanding officer of Troop I, announces the results of a sobriety checkpoint conducted from 10 p.m., on May 8, 2010, until 2 a.m., May 9, 2009, on Missouri Highway 28 at the Gasconade River in Pulaski County.  During the four-hour period, troopers, with the assistance of the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department, stopped a total of 119 vehicles.  There were no arrests made for DWI, however 14 citations and 30 warnings were issued for various other traffic offenses.

Captain Kenley stated, “The fact that no one was arrested for DWI during this checkpoint is encouraging.  Hundreds of Missourian’s lives could be spared this year if everyone would choose to make a similar decision.”
