Robert Joseph Adamick, of Rolla, passed away Thursday, Dec. 25, 2008 at the Phelps County Regional Medical Center at the age of 86.
He was born in Lenox, Mo. on June 7, 1922 to the late Vincent and Sophia (Escher) Adamick.
On Sep. 29, 1967 he married Fredia Carmack, who survives.
Mr. Adamick was a U.S. Navy veteran having served during WWII. He retired from the Holsum Bakery in Rolla. Robert was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and gardening.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Woody Adamick.
He will be greatly missed by his surviving family which includes his wife of 41 years, Fredia Adamick, of the home; two sons, Stanley Adamick, of Rolla, and Jim Adamick, of Lake Spring, Mo.; one brother, Lester Adamick, of Salem, Mo.; a sister, Mary Nothaus, also of Salem; two granddaughters, Jessica Wilber and husband Josh, of Salem, and Kendra Adamick, of Terre Haute, In.; one great grandchild, Kylie Wilber; four brothers-in-law, Jesse Fore and wife Sophia, of Lecoma, Alfred Carmack and wife Beauton, of Rolla, Abe Carmack, of Lecoma, and Abner Carmack, of Rolla; several nieces and nephews, other extended family members and dear friends.
A Funeral Mass for Robert Adamick will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec.29, 2008 at the St. Patrick Catholic Church in Rolla. Interment will follow in Ozark Memorial Gardens Cemetery. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 28th at the Null & Son Funeral Home.
