In our last episode, Federal Prosecutor Paddy Fitzgerald was seen in full attack mode, convicting Democrat Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich in the press.  Ole’ Paddy claimed he had tapes of Blag putting up Obama’s Senate seat to the highest bidder.  The screaming from Obama’s camp for Blag’s immediate resignation echoed throughout the leg tinglers and fainters of media land.

Then Illinois Attorney Gen. Lisa Madigan brought a motion to the state’s Supreme Court to remove Blag.
Why?
Because Blag is so nuts, he’s unable to do his job.  Every 10-year-old Chicagoan knows you don’t reveal the “families’” business on open phone lines.  While I have empathy for the Attorney General’s line of reasoning, the Supremes threw the case out.
Full disclosure informs that Madigan covets the governorship.
The next attack on of the Democratic governor saw his legislature bringing charges to impeach.
In a related action, the governor has a 7 percent approval rating from the citizens of Illinois.
Despite the cave-in of a panel on Fox News as to the future of this scandal, with the notable exception of Fred Barnes, I think there are loads of land mines ahead for the impending Obama Administration:
• As Barnes pointed out, the statement exonerating Obama and staff came from Barack’s lawyer, White House Counsel to be, Greg Craig.   Gee, what was he going to do, plead Obama guilty?
• Blag swore innocence.  He was so serious he quoted Kipling’s poem, “If”.  To all the “Resign Now” shouting Dems, he’s pled to fight until the bitter end.
• Blag hired one tough lawyer in Ed Genson.
• Federal Prosecutor Fitzgerald needs to explain the timing of Blag’s internationally reported arrest.  Was Fitz’s press conviction and arrest a cover up to let Rahm, Obama, Jarrett, and or Jesse Jackson Jr. et al. off the hook before they had a chance to counteroffer?  Seems they held fundraisers for Jesse Jr. just in case.
• Ed Jenson’s pledge to subpoena all of the above, with the current exception of Obama, has caused the aforementioned to hire their own attorneys.
• Paddy Fitz’s refusal to cooperate with the Illinois legislators’ race to impeach Democrat Gov. Blagojevich.  Fitz seems to be saying, “Step away from the Blag!”
We can look forward to years of scandal under the new administration of Barack Hussein Obama.  It’s a wholesome old fashioned Chicago Democratic Party disgrace, gone national.   Unlike Clinton scandals, even the kids can watch!
All the above can be avoided only if…
Somebody can shut Blag up.
Now there’s hope you can believe in; Democrats who haven’t been bankrupted by Bernard Madoff coming up with enough change to buy Blag off and have him plead out with guaranteed silence.
Once again, I’m driven to song.
To the tune of “The House of the Rising son” By the Animals.

There is a state in the Mid-west,
It’s evil by the ton.
And it’s been the ruin of many a poor pol,
Guv Blag he knows he’s one

Well Rezko is convicted.
He brought Blag needed cash.
His best pal is the president,
And Barack now calls him trash.

The only think Guv Blag needs
Is a senate seat to sell.
And he’ll accept cash or jobs.
Or condemn you straight to Hell.

Seems Obama told his Clintonites
To make a deal with Rod
But before they called to make the sale,
Fitz threw Guv Blag in jail

Blag got one foot on the campaign trail,
The other foot in lockup,
He pled his case in public,
After lawyering up.

There is a state in the Mid West,
It’s evil by the ton.
And it’s been the ruin of many a poor pol,
Guv Blag he knows he’s one

Next week’s episode; “The Return of the Depos,” to the tune of Sweatin’ to the Oldies.
Let the farce be with you!
