Funeral services for Dr. Joe Lease Sellers, III, 42, West Plains, Mo. will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 27, 2008 at the First Baptist Church, West Plains, under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Dr. Sellers died 4:10 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 21,2008 at his home. He was born March 26, 1966 at the Loring Air Force Base, Maine to Joe Lease Sellers, Jr. and Charlotte Gilbreath Sellers.  He graduated from the Grand Saline, Texas High School in 1984 and on May 24, 1986, was married at Grand Saline, Texas to Rebecca DeAnn Stovall.  In 1988, he received his B.S. Degree in Biochemistry from Texas A & M University, 1993 graduated from the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine, served his internship at the Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas, and his residency - combined in Emergency Medicine at the University of Washington and Madigan Army Medical Center, Seattle, Washington. 
Dr. Sellers was a veteran having served with the United States Army with assignments in the Emergency Department of Landstuhl Regional Medical Center, Landstuhl, Germany, Battalion Surgeon on an United Nations Task Force in the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia and Staff Emergency Medicine Physician, Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri.  He was the Medical Director of the Emergency Department at Ozarks Medical Center, West Plains. 
Dr. Sellers was a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, American Academy of Emergency Medicine, American College of Emergency Physicians and Government Services Chapter of the American College of Emergency Physicians.  He enjoyed hunting, traveling and loved being with his family. Dr. Sellers was a member of the First Baptist Church of West Plains.
He is survived by his wife, DeAnn Sellers, of the family home; five sons, Joe Sellers, IV, Lance  Sellers, Wyatt Sellers, Nate Sellers and Gabe Sellers, all of the family home; his parents, Joe and Charlotte Sellers, Grand Saline, Texas; two sisters, Kellie Wheeler, husband, Tim, Tyler, Texas and Karen Paige Wilt, Grand Saline, Texas; six nieces and nephews, Daniel, Timothy, LeAnn, Diana, Susan and Janae; two aunts, LaQuita Zenkner, husband, Kenneth, Grand Saline, Texas and Sande Hendley, husband, Jim, Greenville, Texas; three cousins, Allison, Brad and Shannon; and special friends,Mike and Ada Cochran.
His grandparents and one uncle precede him in death.
Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Friday, at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.  Memorial contributions may be made to Dr. Seller's sons and may be mailed to Robertson-Drago Funeral Home, 211 West Main, West Plains, Mo. 65775
