The 29th Annual St. Nick’s Benefit is getting underway.

The 29th Annual St. Nick’s Benefit is getting underway.
Each year, the benefit aims to “bring love and cheer to disadvantaged children and young adults with disabilities,” according to a flyer distributed at a recent Phelps for the Fort meeting and also found at area chambers and organizations.
The St. Nick’s Benefit, sponsored by the Fort Leonard Wood Lions Club, helps provide Christmas gifts to the FLW military community, MOCA Head Start Pulaski County, B.W. Robinson State School in Rolla, Boys and Girls Town of Missouri in St. James, the Children’s Division Foster Care Program of Pulaski County, Piney Ridge Center Inc. and Choices for People of Rolla.
Volunteers are being solicited to be a sponsor by providing a gift or donation.
Gifts in the $30 to $50 range can be dropped off beginning Dec. 4 at the Melvin E. Carnahan Army Community Center, Building 486, Ft. Leonard Wood, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
After Dec. 11, you can drop the gifts off at Building 786 from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The St. Nick’s Benefit Ceremony is Dec. 16 from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Grant Hall Building 2100.
You can also make a donation to the Fort Leonard Wood Lions Club - St. Nick’s Benefit. Donations are tax deductible.
