Donald L. Dunn, of Kaiser, Mo., formerly of Rolla, passed away at the Lake Regional Hospital on Saturday, Nov. 22, 2008, at the age of 70.
He was born in Illinois on Jan. 5, 1938, to the late George and Emma (McCown) Dunn.
On May 24, 1958, he married Mary White who preceded him in death on May 3, 2003.
On Nov. 25, 2006, he married Jean James, who survives.
Mr. Dunn worked as a cartographic technician at the U.S.G.S. retiring in 1994.
He was a member of the Church of Christ. He was also a talented musician and an avid fisherman and hunter.
In addition to his parents and first wife, he was preceded in death by his son Keith Dunn.
He will be greatly missed by his surviving family which includes his wife Jean Dunn, of the home; his son, Mark Dunn and wife Gail, of Rolla; two stepsons, Tom Deardeuff and wife Tammy, of Rolla, and Darin Deardeuff and wife Cindy, of Springfield, Mo.; stepdaughter, Shawna Deardeuff and special friend Todd Henderson, of Riverton, Kan.; brother-in-law, Les White, of Rolla; grandson, Sean Keegan Dunn, granddaughter, Shana Marie Dunn, other grandchildren and great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other extended family members and many dear friends.
A funeral service for Donald Dunn will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2008, at the Null & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Davis officiating. Interment will follow in Ozark Memorial Gardens Cemetery. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 25, at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
