The host Tigers finished third Tuesday in the Tiger Classic golf tournament played at the St. James Golf Course.

Belle won the event with a score of 312 followed by Sullivan at 336 and St. James at 339.

Medalist honors went to Newburg’s J.D. Nash, who shot a two-under-par 37-33--70. The Newburg team finished ninth in the team competition with a score of 373.

Leading the way for St. James was Jon Connell, who carded a 38-41--79. Drew Tucker shot 38-42--80, Kevin Ahart shot 47-42--89, Ely Wright shot 43-48--91 and Dusty Wilson shot 50-47--97.

In addition to Nash’s score, the Newburg team total was made up of Cameron Smith’s 95, Shane Lewis’s 101, Drew DeLong’s 107 and Tyler Sander’s 108.
