Advice for getting settled in at college
It’s that time of year, when college students and their parents are organizing and packing for dorm life. Your students are accumulating computers and electronics, but who is going to think about surge suppressors?
Before you head off to college, make a trip to your local hardware store for all the basics you will need when you get into the dorm. Start in the electrical department and stock up on surge suppressors as well as extension cords and power strips. While you are there, grab duct tape. It will fix anything.
Dorm rooms tend to be small, and there are never enough places to hang stuff. The perfect solution is over-the-door hooks and racks.
Got lots of posters to hang? 3M Command Adhesives are super strong, yet will not damage walls when you take them down.
Finally, if your son or daughter is taking a car, make sure the car is equipped with booster cables, a flashlight, tire gauge and even a snowbrush.
